Only as a keyword. Just did.

It’s been hit and miss since about 2:00 PM. Localized power outages, which to us is an achievement. My office is near the beach and we lost power for about 8 hours in the PM/evening. Now it is back. Thankfully, before the corona thing we had invested in a brand new 38KW Generac and it has been humming along nicely. Our old 20KW burned out from abuse after the January earthquakes and the 2017 hurricanes.

At home everything’s fine so far. You guys take care up there.

Your old Generac served you well for many years. Like losing an old friend.

A generator is like a car in the islands. Its a must. Smart move.
The worlds biggest hydroelectric plant may go down in china in a few days at the Three Gorges Dam when it fails with over 60 nuke plants and 400 million at risk. So as big as this storm is it could always be worse. This storm however does appear to have a larger reach from the center.
