What a load of utter rubbish. They are not panicked about Antifa / BLM burning, looting and murdering but want us to believe they are somehow panicked about being in a classroom with little kids who have close to ZERO mortality rate from coronavirus?
Give me a bloody break!

Yeah.. I think it's very dangerous to send the kids to public schools now.. But, it has nothing to do with with covid 19. It's the commie teachers that are the problem..

I think we should stop all federal support for public schools.. We should start paying parents to send their kids to any private school of their choice...

Shut up and get to work.

Bottom line. My ex makes 120K teaching a dead language (Calculus). They want the paychecks. They don’t want to show up.

They’re demanding defunding the police as a condition of returning to work. Not sure how that’s related to safety, other than the fact that most sane teachers were extremely glad there was an armed Resource Office on site here. We had a shooting in the city just to the north of us that made national news.

Kid killed his girlfriend and another kid in the cafeteria at lunch. Teacher took a bullet stopping the kid.

So yeah, disband the police and we’ll come back to work.

I have one more kid in HS. My other two are so pissed now that they are in the world. They came from ‘hit until your happy’ on testing, then went out and got hit with ‘screw up once and you may be hitting the bricks’.

Both are bitter. Both feel like it was a complete waste of time.

My last one is in a voc school training program, which was very good. He managed to get a summer job in a diesel shop. He found out pretty quick the difference between theory and practice, but is excited to go back now that he’s got a clue.

He may not get that chance thanks to the traitorous cowards making decisions here in the people’s soviet of WA.

Teachers who work with students under 10 (4th grade) are safer than going into Wal-Mart. After 10 the %’s increase. I retired 6 years ago at 61. Don’t think I would chance it since I taught 7th graders (12/13 year olds)

I have a will, a living will and life insurance. I have since I was in my 30s. That’s not panic that’s just responsible. These people think they’re exempt?

Exactly. Every responsible adult should have a will and if dependents are in their lives, life insurance as well. A Power of Attorney is also a must for some certitude that your medical situations will be handled by a trusted agent. I know of more than one family that argued over who should decide a number of end of life procedures. Needless legal intervention if there is not a POA. Teachers who do not work should not be paid.

I really don’t want my kids to be taught by snowflakes. Good grief, we are trying to teach that OUT of them!

Teachers — adults — preparing wills because they’re afraid of germs is just too, too funny ... in fact, it’s hilarious.

Well teachers, as gov employees are getting a paycheck, and people who pay property tax are still paying them.

There are three kinds of people in the world--sheep, wolves and sheepdogs.

Most teachers are sheep.

How do I know? My wife was a conservative teacher among a bunch of teachers who were liberal sheep. They were afraid of their own shadows, but that didn't stop them from tattling on someone to the administration. Most of them couldn't even figure out their own paycheck.

What pathetic weaklings living in fear of nothing. Just stop paying them and fire those who don’t show-up. Stop pampering these weak losers.

Wait a second. Teachers are well-educated, right? And they have decent jobs, clearly in the middle-class range, and most of them have families and children.

According to THIS article, most of them don’t have life insurance or wills, and are only NOW considering it because of the slim possibility of getting COVID and dying.

Did they know that they could get killed driving to school in the morning? Or shot by a protester when they show up at protests?
