In a move that reminded some people of road trips with their parents, a Delta flight turned around and went back to the gate because passengers were not complying with crew instructions.
In a statement from Delta Airlines, Flight 1227 from Detroit to Atlanta on July 23 “returned to the gate following two customers who were non-compliant” with the airline's mask policy.

Would be funny if it were not grimly true.
Also consider agent provocateurs trying for a false flag.
Did the people who bought tickets to the flight understand that masks would be required? I don’t blame them for not wearing masks. So stupid.
It wasn’t the masks.
They asked the pilot if he was over Macho Grande.
“No, I don’t think I’ll ever get over Macho Grande.”
He burst into sobs and they canceled the flight.
Well, there are masks just over everyone’s head.
Cheapo Delta should just replace the masks after every flight.

Maybe not, but they bought the tickets knowing that they would be required to follow crew member instructions.
Delta is the most strict of all the airlines about wearing masks. I travel A LOT for business (even these days) and most seasoned travelers are already aware that you “earn” a permanent ban on Delta if you refuse to wear one.
Not saying it’s right, btw.
That person will be taking Greyhound the rest of their traveling days.
They’ll get a little taste of federal law for causing the plane to return.

At this point in the game, don’t even schedule a plane trip in the states if you do not wish to wear a mask most of the time. That’s the way it is now. Better to make other plans, than to detain a whole planeload of angry passengers and hissing flight attendants.

I used to be worried that these were the end times but now I’m actually hoping it is just so we can get to the other side of it.
Another reason I drove 1700+ miles round-trip to my grandson’s wedding over the weekend.
Just returned from “vacation”. It was great to get away. But yeah, you will have to wear a mask the entire time at the airport, on the plane, at hotels, entering and leaving restaurants, etc.
If you don’t want to deal with it, don’t go. It will eventually go away, and if it doesn’t we have another problem on our hands......
