Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) used his opening statement at Tuesday's House Judiciary Committee hearing with Attorney General Bill Barr wisely. He began right after Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) spent several minutes painting Barr as someone who blindly does whatever President Trump tells him and has worked to destroy the integrity of the Justice Department. Nadler was particularly upset after the Trump administration sent federal agents into U.S. cities that have been steeped in violence after the Minneapolis police killing of George Floyd. According to Nadler, the DOJ is now just "a shadow of its former self."
When Jordan had the spotlight, he asked for a video to be shown. It began with clips of different media outlets referring to the riots we've seen these past few months as "peaceful protests." The video then cut to a presser about the death of retired black police captain David Dorn, who was killed during a riot in St. Louis as he was helping protect a local business.
The video proceeded to show other footage of rioters toppling statues, looting local businesses, and running over police officers. It was scary, scary stuff. I've included the video here but be warned it does have some graphic and disturbing footage.
Jordan then thanked AG Barr for working to restore the rule of law and speaking out against the Defund the Police movement. He added that the Democrats have "absolutely nothing" on him.
"And so all they got left is to attack the Attorney General who had the courage to state the truth right from the get-go," Jordan said.
Nadler complained that the minority did not give them a 48-hour notice that they were going to be playing the video.
Right. Because that's the main issue.
Nadler was forced to watch riots that he claimed didn’t exist.

I heard CNN cut away when that video was shown, therefore depriving their viewer of see it.

Up until now the answer has been. No. Never.
The video seemed to go on forever but then there is a very deep body of clips from which to choose. Lots of violence. I didn’t even see the couple beaten outside their business, or the guy in jeans being kicked unconcious in the street, or the retired police Captain who was murdered by a punk looting a store, etc. & etc.
Jordan could easily have made an hour long video if he had wanted, and some of it was among the most heinous of acts.
Why? The video CLEARLY showed how PEACEFUL was their protest.
I have a question. Is Nadler taller standing up or laying down?

Nobody with any sense watches CNN anyways. And their ratings are abysmal.

Too bad only those us sitting in the choir will see it as usual. The nets are all in for the rats now. I don’t know how we break through the wall. If most voters were to see Jordan’s presentation l think we’d get House back easily.

Nadler IS a square. He’s as tall as he is wide as he is deep. He’s Sponge Bob Square Pants. Without a personality.
Moving pictures of Nadler’s “myth”, doesn’t get much better.

Am I the only one who is ready to become an augmentee of those confronting anarchy? If they put out the call I’m ready. I have the training, weapons and desire. I know I’m not alone. I get more disgusted by the hour. Is vigilantism the answer?
Really powerful video. I would like to have seen Nadler’s picture during while the video was played.
The media has to ask Nadler, “after viewing the video, do you still think the violence is a myth?
