Was the lockdown successful? I say yes very successful. Successful in things like this. Anxiety hotline calls up 1000 percent. Child abuse both sexual and non up. Financially, emotional distress, Suicide. Alcohol. 150,000 Americans a month not receiving cancer screening. It’s been effective alright, in all the wrong metrics — in all the areas we didn’t want it to be effective. Delay in medical care. We talked about that. Orthopedics, nonessential. Suicide calls up 600 percent. Suicide calls. We heard other doctors mention this. So was the lockdown effective? If that’s the effect you were going for, then yes but it was trying to flatten the curve but it had these secondary consequences that I think are devastating. People staying indoors. No exercising as you mentioned. No Vitamin D.

Yes it’s a ridiculous comment. She lived in terrible dread for years and died horrifically
But there’s not just black and white. There’s not just a great life and a horrible life. There’s a lot of things in between. There are kids at home with abusive parents. There are kids home with mom’s boyfriend who is molesting them.
even just parents who fight all the time. Getting out the front door is freedom for those kids.
And for the adults losing their jobs is a nightmare.
And the lack of healthcare for all other illnesses during that time.

We won’t know the impact of this till a few years from now. I don’t hide in my basement in fear, but I do take common sense precautions and avoid high risk activities.
pretty much the scenario at my hospital....we do have more patients now, but they’re mostly on medical floors, not ICU....and I think they’ve started admitting some covid patients where as two months ago they would have been sent home with some meds or prescribed breathing treatments..
I was going to say this is mass hysteria until the mention of the Prius driver.
Prius drivers are already strange, so it wouldn’t surprise me to find out they wore hospital masks long before COVID.

Is your filling with patients to staff level or filling with patients to fully staffed level.
Around the Bay Area hospitals are filled to staffed level but, not to physical staffing level as many floors have been closed and wings as well with nurses, Dr’s and support staff furloughed...

Even Rush was a wussie today...in his analysis about surveying conservatives to see if they are scared to say their opinion in public, he noted 77% of conservatives said yes. He said it in a way that pissed me off...he doesn’t seem to get that MSM controls the information...and can bankrupt someone. Example...today, I supervised a customer...she runs a funeral home, and she is older, black, well connected. Since my wife is black, and she knows my democrat mother-in-law, she assumes we are democrats...so I get paid, we part ways, and chit chat in passing, she says, “ but we so badly need a new president”...I got paid, and money is green...had I expressed my views, I could lose $, hurt my service business, and hurt my employee’s families due to lost business...I replied with an unintelligible mumble.
