Demonstrators chaining themselves to a fence outside Gov. Gavin Newsom’s home in Fair Oaks on Monday morning called for mass prison releases and an end to immigration transfers because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Monday’s protest came as deaths mounted at a San Francisco Bay Area prison where another condemned inmate died over the weekend.
The group says keeping convicted people and detainees locked up is a risk to their lives...
There have been at least 545 COVID-19 cases among inmates at California prisons, with 47 confirmed deaths.

The California Highway Patrol cut the chains linking protesters to the gate of Newsom’s residence in suburban Sacramento after about two hours.

Prisons should have been closed back in January, and they should have stopped taking in new inmates, except for those who are violent. Non violent offenders should have been sent to other locations.
So nobody can stop riots in Dim cities, but they can remove someone near the Gov’s house within 2 hours.

Agreed. Little of this stuff feels “real”, rather like it’s scripted performance. I wouldn’t be surprised if Newsom is in on it.
