The problem, as I see it, is that local law enforcement has had a tendency to support and assist urban rioters and has a tendency to throw the book at Normal people who want to engage in self-defense and protect their property.
The whole situation changes quickly if that reverses.
If Normal people are given wide latitude to protect themselves and their property, then even the urban areas can be pacified quickly.
All we really need would be federal troops “explaining” the situation to local law enforcement. Just stand down. Let the militia do the work. In times of trouble, Normal people can police themselves.
‘Local law enforcement has been threatened with loss of job and prosecution if they do the job they swore an oath to do. Too many will take the next servile step to do the assaults on citizenry they will be ordered to do under threat of lost income.
