Michael Avenatti is broke, can’t afford legal fees, lawyer claims

Michael Avenatti is broke and can’t pay his legal fees, the California attorney who has represented the discredited lawyer for more than a year claims.

Dean Steward filed a motion in federal court Saturday detailing Avenatti’s financial woes and is now asking for taxpayer help to cover his costs.

. . .

The disgraced lawyer faces three-dozen counts of fraud, tax evasion and other alleged crimes. He was convicted in February of trying to extort millions of dollars from Nike and is also accused of bilking money from Stormy Daniels, his most famous client.

Avenatti has yet to be sentenced in the Nike case and is awaiting trial in the other two.

Well, when people are read their Miranda rights, they are told that if they want a lawyer and can’t afford one, that one will be assigned to them. I guess he’s at the point of getting a public defender.

unless.........unless he can hire an attorney who will wait to be paid until after he writes his best selling book?

Washington Examiner: Remember when they told you Avenatti would be the next president?

Other night saw a replay of his interview/argument with Tucker.

Even though Tucker was right and didn’t back down I didn’t think it was a slam dunk...Avenatti showed no shame or misgivings about his behavior.

He tried to borrow money from my nephew a few years back and right away my nephew turned it down due to an obvious rotten deal. MA drove about 5 really fancy cars and all were leased. He is just a low life scammer. All show...no substance.

Well, then, it's time for the crooked liar to change his plea and face the music.

The ability to speak and act shamelessly is a foundation skill of con men, which Avenatti certainly is.

I know a guy like Avenatti, albeit much smaller-time. Lived way beyond his means. When I first met him, I walked away thinking "gee, I really messed up in life." Here he is, constantly giving orders to people over his super-expensive cell phone, living on twenty acres, pool, tennis court, gazebo, the works. I've got my little suburban house, a ten-year-old car, struggling to pay for my kid's college tuition. What a dummy I must be.

Then I find out that being one of his "friends" means being constantly hit up for loans.

A few years later, it all collapsed. It was all borrowed money, every bit of it. A stretch in jail ensued, then mysterious fires. Property taken away, Lexuses taken away, all dust in the wind. I don't know where he is today.

Let Mr. Avenatti hit up the media outlets that used his services to besmirch President Trump. They’ve got deep pockets. Let them put their money where their mouths are for the guy they championed.

Avenatti should have stayed in the race to be the Democrat Presidential Candidate and then he would not have any money problems.
