Others, like my middle child, have endocrine disorders that emerge during puberty and flip the script. Despite being born a beautiful girl, NCCAH resulted in hyperandrogenism. Her body is being masculinized naturally. By the time it was finally diagnosed, it was too late to stop it. There is no cure for NCCAH. She has embraced it and is transitioning to a boy.
