What is there to think about? If I would have taken a staple home from the investment Bank I worked at I would have been fired and escorted out by four security guards. And probably have charges brought against me.

Did they do an on-air retraction and an apology? Even if they did, it wasn’t done with the same level of coverage as the original false story, so to 90% of their viewers, it is still true.
It’s not like the dude made an error.....and it’s not like nbc didn’t know.
