Hours after reopening, Santa Clara County businesses will have to close again

Just hours after reopening Monday under Santa Clara County’s new health order, hair and nail salons, gyms, tattoo parlors and other personal care services have to close yet again.

During his noon briefing, Gov. Gavin Newsom announced immediate closures for indoor operations of restaurants, wineries, tasting rooms, movie theaters, card rooms, family entertainment centers, zoos and museums. Bars must close altogether. The governor called for 30 counties — approximately 80 percent of Californians — on the state monitoring list for at least three consecutive days to close personal care services, fitness centers, places of worship, business offices and shopping malls.

Santa Clara County is back on that list, as of Sunday, after being taken off July 6.

I live in this county and now I'm fully anticipating stores to shutters en masse. It was one thing to hold out for a couple of months but the capricious edicts from Sacramento is no environment for small businesses to survive, let alone thrive.

“...the capricious edicts from Sacramento is no environment for small businesses to survive, let alone thrive...”

Courtesy of Adolf Newsom. Full-on hurt to turn sentiment against Trump.

Californians, you KNOW where your governor lives.
Why is he not afraid to go to sleep?

Really?

Check out this Recall Gavin
Newsom website. Please post on social media and forward viral!!

I just talked to the organizer to ensure it was legitimate. Please pass to everyone you know in CA. Even if you don’t live in CA, it would be awesome if we helped to make Gavin Newsom the first Blue State dictator to be recalled. Let’s send the Blue State governors a message as well as all RAT politicians that We The People have had enough.

Where goods and services are, people will go. When tax revenues hit a critical level, people will see public infrastructure begin to degrade. Gruesome is destroying the very fiefdom he’s trying to create for himself.

They only have to stall and resist about 3 1/2 more months til election. They will not let go of their strong-arm on the economy anytime before then regardless of loss to businesses......they're more than willing to see these go down as collateral damage as they're convinced they can steal this election one way or another......Blame Trump, and appear like they're prepared to be the restorers of what actually they're destroying. You can bet if they win not one of them will suffer anything....but the nation will.

California was facing a $54 billion deficit in the coming fiscal year. Part of the budget anticipates getting money from Washington. Financially, these shutdowns are a calamity for the state, as far less tax revenue is coming in, but expenses don’t get cut.

Newsom is probably rolling the dice, hoping for a Biden victory, and then a President Biden and Pelosi will push legislation to bail out the states.

oh heck...they'll all move up to martha’s vineyards or to their oversea villas if everything falls apart. The only thing that ever changes for elites is location.

Remember in the very beginning, shutdowns were called for, to flatten the curve, bend the curve downward, so that hospitals and doctors wouldn’t be overwhelmed with virus patients? And the thinking was that shutdowns would last for a couple of weeks?

Somewhere along the way, that morphed into some semi-permanent state of emergency, with the most vocal saying we need a vaccine before things get back to normal.

And we are doing all this for a virus which is almost never fatal to healthy people with no preexisting health conditions.

Rumor I’ve heard is that they may not even make it to Election Day before the state is insolvent.

Apple, Google, and Facebook are still paying - they probably think extracting tax dollars from the little Trump-supporting kulaks is less important then driving them out of business before November.

I lived in Santa Clara Country for 41 years (college plus working career). We moved to Texas in late 2018, selling our 23+ year Silicon Valley house for a good price. According to Zillow, the house is worth 4+% less than what we sold it for (and Zillow tends to be optimistic - what would you expect from a realtor controlled web site?).

Even during the recessions we experienced between 1995 and 2018, the house rarely dropped much value, which was typical for some areas of Silicon Valley. If real estate is starting to drop there, it could get ugly real fast.

Governor Gavin Newsome is doing everything possible to destroy people’s livelihoods and shove as many Californicators onto welfare.

The DNC (including his aunt Nancy Pelousy) think that poor people vote D. Well, they usually do. But NOT when its the D party hacks that TOOK AWAY THEIR JOBS and little BUSINESSES and FORCED them onto into a life of poverty on the dole.
