Arlo Kinsey was working behind the carryout counter at RJs Bob-Be-Que Shack in Mission last week when a middle-aged man dressed in a red Make America Great Again hat and no mask walked through the door.
I asked him if he could wear a mask, since its what Gov. Kelly told us to do, said Kinsey, 18, who was working shifts at the barbecue joint this summer before heading off to college. He had dealt with a handful of customers who refused to wear masks inside the restaurant despite the statewide mandate but none like this, he said.
The man said he had an exemption to the mask order: He then lifted up his shirt, revealing a gun in a holster on his hip.
It was definitely a threat, Kinsey said. I was looking at the gun thinking he was going to shoot me.
My first thought was, I work in customer service and this is really whats going to happen? All were asking is that you wear a mask for a couple of minutes. We could have taken your order outside if you didnt want to. But you go into an air conditioned area without a mask on, and if I tell you to wear one, youre going to shoot me? Wow. I make $8.50 an hour, plus tips for this?
Kinsey called for his boss, Bob Palmgren, owner of the 17-year-old restaurant in suburban Kansas City, off Lamar Avenue and Johnson Drive in Mission. Palmgren was in the back, working in the kitchen.

Most likely all staged by liberals.
Such a lie
If the business has a posted sign saying, 'you must wear a mask', I'll put on my flimsy, blue, do-nothing mask.
I don't condone intimidating any employee doing their job.
While I share the anger and frustration the guy who did this makes non-maskers look bad.
False flag is exactly what this is. The left is our enemy and they want us gone. This is the way they are going to help that along. Its almost time. We are gonna have to fight for our way of life.
It is a bogus story. Note that the Popo was not contacted for brandishing a firearm. This was a couple of kids posing as victims for attention due to their indoctrination.
Nut job happens to be wearing a MAGA hat. How convenient.
Likely done to make us look bad.
Good thing we didn't wear that skimpy outfit in the colder months. 8>)
Probably had to remove his BLM hat for a couple minutes.
This tale has a hoaxy feel to it.
yep, this is easy. I walked into a Shell station to buy windshield washer fluid. guy said I had to have a mask. I walked out and went to the Chevron station and got what I needed. this isn’t a problem. If one business doesn’t want my dollars another one does.
“...Im not fan of wearing masks, but their business, their rules. If you dont want to follow a businesses rules, then dont patronize it. But dont be an ass....”
Exactly. Like many, I personally feel that wearing a mask at this point in time is just plain ridiculous. However, these small businesses are trying to stay alive in a very difficult time, and to do so, they have to obey the tyrannical edicts that are handed down to them. IF one does not want to wear a mask in that place of business, fine. Just don’t patronize the place, or put the stupid thing on for the few minutes it takes to get whatever it is you’re after and then get to heck out.
To do something like that is really dumb....so dumb, in fact, that it’s very easy for me to believe that it was a setup, staged and done on purpose...and not by a conservative individual.
There's nothing telling us he's a 'snowflake'. As a matter of fact he's just some young kid working a job trying to earn money for school.
If some angry stranger flashed a gun at me I'd be concerned.
The boss was involved so this doesn't look like a hoax.
very well could be a liberal wearing maga stuff to stir up trouble
About as credible as the Jussie Smollett story.
If they don’t have it on camera it didn’t happen.
Arlo, You now know the answer.
