Trump also has the power to write an Executive Order that tells the Secretary of Homeland Security to deport all the DACA kids, because they are unlawfully present in the USA.
Unfortunately, time and again, Trump has made it clear that he will not deport any DACA kids unless they are dangerous criminals.

This is a situation where Trump is trying to make lemonade out of lemons.
No one in D.C. supports kicking out the kids of illegal aliens. That is a fact. That is cold reality. You and I won't like it, but such a provision simply won't pass, especially since the DemonRats control the House.
So what Trump is trying to do is a King Solomon-type of resolution. Give the kids of illegals some type of citizenship, provided they pass criminal background check and have skills. This takes away an issue from the Left, because the Left wants complete amnesty to replace the blacks.
I think Trump is doing the right thing here. He actually has no choice but to work in the template given to him, thanks to that POS Roberts in SCOTUS and other judges who keep striking him down.
It was the DEMOCRATS that blocked it.
