MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Sen. Ron Johnson (R - WI) says that the United States has “overacted” in its response to the COVID-10 pandemic, the D.C.-based news website Axios reports.

“[I]n hindsight, I think we overreacted. We closed too much of our economy down, and I don’t think we focused enough on what we needed to do: isolate the sick, quarantine them, protect the vulnerable,” Sen. Johnson told Axios’ Mike Allen during a small business recovery event on July 1.

He’s scrambling to the right, throwing Trump under the bus, probably as a reaction to Tucker going after him the other night.

He’s absolutely correct. However, I’d word it this way: Many states within the US have overreacted. That’s not on Trump. That’s on the Governors and Mayors.

BTW, In my state, KY, the Governor made masks mandatory, and a judge promptly bit** slapped it back.

Grossly understated. A hyperbolic statement using the word "stratospheric" would be accurate.

It's the most ridiculous and hysterical over-reaction I have ever seen. A bad flu overblown into a national emergency.

The Senate has under-reacted to the Deep State coup.

yup

this is just cover

they used this as an opportunity to test a lot of stuff out

illegally revoking freedoms

setting up stasi snitches

setting up orwellian contact tracers

getting people to demand others do stuff to protect them and feel good, not giving a crap about others’ health

demand people listen to ‘experts’ who flip flopped all over the board, we are at war with eastasia/eurasia level crapola

see how many pols get recalled/lose their jobs over public outrage - none so far

set policies in place to deliberately kill off the most vulnerable to all diseases

see how far they could push fear and hype to get citizen compliance

set policies in place to lock people down

set policies in place to shut down churches and worship

He does sound like someone who doesn’t know anything.

The release of this virus appears internationally orchestrated, with China in the lead. The WHO is firmly embedded in China’s ass, from the outset. The highest levels of “healthcare” in our government are organized from the start to block the acceptance of HCQ, the only known and readily available treatment. Cuomo’s actively killing old folks in New York, like he’s got a quota to meet.

This thing doesn’t pass the smell-test on any level.

And this guy’s got intrepid insight into our response?

I don’t think so.

This is not a test, it is a probing of the defenses of America. The advance party is assessing when and where to unleash actual revolution, or if it is unnecessary. We may just fall like a ripe fruit from a tree with a little wind.

Exactly. 7 states did not shut down at all with some small exceptions.

130,000 Dead

50,000 Intentionally killed in Nursing Homes due to the Depraved Indifference of Cuomo,Garcetti,Whitmer,...

25% of the dead merely died with the Chicom Flu.

That leaves us with at best 60,000 that may have died from the ChiCom Flu.

“...United States has “overacted” in its response to the COVID...”

All

The

Effin

Way

We have been at this retarded strategy for 6 months and it has killed businesses. Peoples livelihoods, Dreams and aspirations

It has destroyed, probably, two seasons of sports.

Ruined the entertainment industry

And undercut the social fabric of our lives by instilling fear that has resulted in many friends limiting or completely eliminating physical interaction

WTF for?

This is insane to insist an entire country of free people quarantine and dress as ghouls, wearing all kinds of face coverings

End it now!

exactly....let the virus do what it does and develop herd immunity in a shorter amount of time and then be done with it....

who was going to die, was going to die....we didn't prevent any deaths....
