There’s Nothing Depressing About Americans Buying Guns

Just before our Independence Day celebration, British journalist Piers Morgan took to Twitter to complain about surging firearms sales here.

He tweeted, “BREAKING: Just when you thought the news couldn't more depressing...8.3 million guns have been sold in the United States since March, meaning 2020 is on course to be the biggest year for gun sales in American history.”

Morgan, who once told Ben Shapiro our Constitution is a mere “little book,” isn’t the only one downplaying this incredible phenomenon. Gun control activists are touting a new UC-Davis study, absent of peer review and marked by faulty methodology, attributing historic numbers to “excess firearms purchases.”

What exactly is depressing about more Americans buying guns? How is responsible, law-abiding gun ownership “excessive”?

LOL! That 'pierce moron' is quite the showboat eh? Tell ya what 'pierce', my guns will rest peacefully (if I actually had one or more) regardless of what you think? Cheery bye!

There is something depressing about Americans not daring to protect themselves with guns against the anarchists in the street. We can now expect more of them.

Most of the recent purchases are first time buyers, not previous owners adding to their collection, so they are not excess.
Excess would be me buying more.
Fortunately I don’t need to because with all these sales, I’m getting them for free.

There is. It is that most of the far left anarchist agitation is being done in cities with far-left administrations, and Soros paid for prosecutors.

They refuse to charge the leftists, but will charge conservatives who defend themselves with guns.

Excess? No such thing. In a war, no one ever complained about having too many guns.

What guns to buy? The local Cabela’s is wiped out. A family owned Sporting Goods store started a waiting list for customers and had to stop because the manufacturer couldn’t deliver.

If you find a gun you want buy it!

With Black Lives (Don’t) Matter, Antifa, and Democrats, owning a gun or two is necessary. Don’t forget, BLM doesn’t care about Blacks killing Blacks in Democrat-run cities like Chicago.

Now, that is depressing!

I was in the market for a few, but now will have to wait for prices to come down or the eventual collapse when there will be many laying around.

Many people just like to shoot for fun, competition, and challenge. Trap, skeet, sporting clays, IDPA, IPSC, GSSF, Steel Challenge, bowling pins, plate rack, Texas Star... speed challenge....

Best advice I’ve read today. Same applies to ammo.
Fits right in with the words “Be Prepared”.

I suspect there’s a lot of Demorats purchasing guns these days but they sure aren’t going to say so.

But he cautioned readers to not assume every new gun owner is a single-issue voter.

But they do tend to become that way when the politicians and the activists try to take it away from them. That makes what was an abstract issue very personal indeed. It's easy to be a social activist when the changes you're demanding only apply to somebody else.

What's sad is that folks such as Mr. Piers Morgan and his fellow subjects didn't learn from the American Revolution and demand that recognition of their inalienable right to keep and bear arms be added to the their laws in England.

We kicked their asses in the American Revolution, the War of 1812, and then saved their asses in two World Wars but this clown insists on backing a losing mindset.

Of course, Mr. Piers Morgan's employers have armed security and provide it to him when THEY feel they need it. Time to call out the hypocrite and demand he refuse armed protection.

My only concern about “more guns” is that I don’t see a corresponding increase in TRAINING.

...."People like P.Morgan are depressing."....

No, liberals know that we will shoot back and hit the target when the Antifa morons start shooting from moms basement. When the shooting starts, we will make quick work of about 50% of the population. We know who they are and where they live. Just waiting for someone to "have enough" of it. The military will be on our side, the police, ex police and ex military, hunters, sport shooters, and flag wavers. When BLM and Antifa figure out that we shoot back, they will drop their weapons and run or die. Painting graffiti is not the same as a double tap. When they block roads it won't be the same as when people gun their SUV to clear the roads.

Stop and think about allowing G Washington, T Jefferson, Madison, and Lincoln being replaced with Marx, Castro, and Stalin. I don't exactly know where the "last straw" is, but I know it's out there.
