“Killing Eve” star Jodie Comer is in hot water on Twitter.
The 27-year-old is facing “cancel” cries online after social media users discovered she’s possibly dating a Republican who supports President Trump. This comes amid her vocal support for several progressive causes, such as Black Lives Matter and Pride.
Twitter sleuths linked the actress, who plays a queer woman on “Killing Eve,” to a man named James Burke after paparazzi photos surfaced of her sitting outdoors with a mystery man. A man by that name is a registered Republican. However, it’s not evidently clear how Burke’s name was discovered, or why some Twitter users are sure that the person Comer is allegedly dating is the same Burke they’ve discovered with right-leaning political affiliations.
Several people named James Burke exist, including an 83-year-old science historian.
The Post has reached out to Comer’s reps for comment.
In April, she revealed to British Vogue that she’s “very much” in love with someone, though she wouldn’t reveal whom. Comer said she’s dating a man and that the pairing was “fairly new.”
For some, even the idea of Comer dating a Trump supporter was a slap in the face. On Wednesday morning, the actress’ name was trending on Twitter, along with the hashtag #JodieComerIsOverParty.

So many things we can say about this.
I will just say a couple of things. Number one , liberals claim to be so tolerant of people, and what people do in their private lives is supposed to be their own business. Yet here it seems the liberals are quite intolerant.
Secondly, what are the Liberals concerned about exactly? Are they afraid that the two of them will discuss politics and this guy could make her rethink her liberal views on some issues?
Why should they? So far it is no more than a teddy bear. Why should they consider tomorrow to be any different than yesterday? This is actually (dare I say it?) logical reasoning on their part.
They’re actually chitin on US. There will be hell to pay.

Since she is dating a man, I’m surprised they didn’t go after her for portraying a “queer woman.” If he’s a Republican on top of it, they’ve hit the daily double.

I would say a lawsuit is the next step for her, political discrimination, freedom of association, hollywoods prior abhorrence of blacklisting and loyalty oaths, no requirements to be or associate with only one type of person in order to keep your job...
I would bet a great high powered lawyer could do some good work for her and set some precedents here.
The irony here isthese same people couldn’t handle being legitimately blacklisted for being and supporting actual communists, who did desire to destroy America’s political system and way of life.
The second irony is these people are the same people that would scream to hell if their politics got them fired from a job.
The third irony is these are the same people that are for burying certain folks crimimal records from others because that’s not ‘relevant’, yet this is...
And you can replace irony with hypocrisy as well if you prefer and its still accurate.

We don’t need a ‘cancel culture’, but we do need a ‘tolerance culture’. Democrats are the ‘intolerance culture’.

That’s why they are prohibiting the word blacklist from now on, so only racists would claim that Hollywood engages in blacklisting today.
