Black Life-Long Democrat Reveals Why He Walked Away from Joe Biden

Georgia State Rep. Vernon Jones (D) on Tuesday penned an opinion piece slamming former Vice President Joe Biden for failing to stand up to protect the black community. According to Jones, President Donald Trump has done more for the black community than any other Washington politician, all while Biden hides in his basement.

In particular, Jones takes issue with the left's calls to "defund the police," which they say is in response to the murder of George Floyd.

As the former Chief Executive Officer of DeKalb County, Georgia, I’ve had to manage one of the largest police departments in the state. I’ve had the experience of dealing with police shootings and comforting the families of victims. But at the same time, I’ve also had the experience of losing two black police officers. I’ve had to comfort their families in the middle of the night and console their young children. I know firsthand when others are running away from chaos, police officers are running into the fight to protect and serve.

President Trump was sickened by the death of George Floyd and fully committed to ensuring that he will not have died in vain. The president has taken a commonsense approach to heal our nation. President Trump made clear that he will protect all Americans, serve as an ally to peaceful protesters and always uphold law and order.

Jones applauded President Trump's decision to sign an executive order on police reform. The EO created a national database of police misconduct. This prevents officers from bouncing between police departments when they're fired for excessive force or other related issues. The order also pushes grants from the Department of Justice to local police departments to increase training.

Where were Joe Biden and the previous administration for 8 years in the White House on this issue? I’ll tell you. They were absent in unifying this country.

The black unemployment rate under Biden and the Obama administration averaged a horrific 12.8 percent. The number of black Americans in poverty barely fell during the Obama administration, going down by just 145,000 over eight years.

By comparison, more than double that number – 350,000 black Americans – were lifted out of poverty during just the first two years of the Trump administration.

The Georgia representative reminded Americans that for 36 years, Joe Biden pushed major crime bills. Now that those bills are coming under fire, he's attempting to sweep them under the rug.

Don’t take my word for it, take then-Senator Joe Biden’s own words for it. “The truth is, every major crime bill since 1976 that’s come out of this Congress, every minor crime bill, has had the name of the Democratic senator from the State of Delaware: Joe Biden.” Now that Biden is running for president in a woke Democratic Party in 2020, he’s attempting to sweep his racist legacy under the rug. We can’t let him.

Joe Biden is directly responsible for the mass incarceration policies of the 1980s and 1990s, which decimated the black community. Biden authored the 1994 crime bill which imposed mandatory minimum sentences, disproportionately putting hundreds of thousands of young black men in prison.

Even though Jones is black and a Democrat, he refuses to vote for the former vice president.

Hopefully this black man’s words create a wave that turns into a tide sweeping Trump to a tidal wave of victory.

Back in those days a lot of Black Leaders were pushing for these laws. If I remember correctly both the Revs Sharpton and Jackson pushed for these crime bills.

They wanted to reduce crime in Black neighborhoods.

I remember one bill in the 80s that raised the penalty for dealing crack that was pushed by Black Leaders because crack was in the Black neighborhoods in much greater quantities than White neighborhoods and was much cheaper.

It worked. The revolving door of recidivism stopped rotating quit so fast.

But the effect was exactly what State Rep. Vernon Jones says.

Black men are disproportionately incarcerated in US prisons.

Sorry pal, you can’t have it both ways. If you want safe neighborhoods you have to get the perps off the streets and the only place to put them is in jail.

That figures. If you tell the truth, you will be hated. If you tell lies, you will be praised.

It was bullshit that crack got stiffer sentences than cocaine. Should have been exactly the same.

To make a point....

Dr Ben Carson went from a trpi led youth..to a doctor saving babies’ lives. His mother put him to work reading and reporting...an education saved a black youth from poverty. Dr Carson has sent other black youths for an education.

Compare that to what the dem party has done to help furthur black youths... the dems want their vote but keeps them needy for gov help.

To hear black youths talk. In NY ... it defeats them to get out of despair when everything they are is from neglect and a dem party that does not care.

Lay it all at the do nothing dems..they want a voting mass who will fall for lie after lie.. the pelosi et all owners.

You hit on a point that is endemic in sub-normal people and dysfunctional cultures all over the world. These are people who paint themselves as perpetual “victims” of a society where they simply can’t get their act together for one reason or another ... so in this case, they exist in a permanent state of “victimhood” where they are always complaining either about a lack of law enforcement or effective law enforcement. The idea that they are taking completely contradictory positions at different points in time never occurs to people who are morons at their core.

Maybe Leo Terrell’s strong support for Trump got the ball rolling. He’s been pretty bold in his statements and maybe people are paying attention. If he, a black civil rights attorney, is a good apologist for the #WalkAway / #Blexit movements.

Yes, but that is what the Black Leaders wanted because it effected them more than whites and it was said that it was more addictive.

All decent people have abandoned the Democrat Party or are doing so now.

What decent person supports the Party of Evil--the political party that has championed every evil from slavery, the ku klux klan, lynching, Jim Crow laws, segregation, and racism to abortion, voter fraud, illegal immigration, mob rule, riots, arson, looting, racism, and the destruction of the USA?

ANSWER: None.

It is a simple fact that whatever whitey does to give the blacks what they want, the majority of blacks will be fanned up to hate mode by the same blacks that help to enact the rules.

Summation, blacks will always be unhappy and prone to violence to get their way
