And today is a good day to read and reflect on Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address.

When one looks at early civilizations one notices that all of them had a religion of some kind. Modern man may scoff at these ancient people's as superstitious but why did ALL of them have have God or God's? Because such beliefs are what make their civilization possible. Religion gets people to work together who would not so otherwise. We have recent experience of a Civilization without superstition. That was the Soviet Union and if that is what Godless civilization looks like I'll take one with God in it any old day.
