(CNN) A surprising new study found that the controversial antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine helped patients better survive in the hospital.
A team at Henry Ford Health System in Southeast Michigan said Thursday its study of 2,541 hospitalized patients found that those given hydroxychloroquine were much less likely to die.

I think they are saying it does not help “avoid getting” the virus in the first place. That it only kicks in to prolong life.

My neighbor/friend who is an ER physician has since March and said anytime I wished to he would prescribe for me as well.
Patients weren't randomized, additional steroid treatments were given twice as often to the hydroxy patients and 10% of patients were excluded from the results.
Still, interesting.
Only to those who have denied the truth for the past three months. And imagine the further suprise if there actually was a US study that showed even more efficacy if zinc was added. (There actually have been such studies elsewhere but they have been discounted by the purists in the US.)
And we shipped all the hydroxy to south america.
We are at a point where a group, such as a small town, is tested by the CDC after the test kits are certified for accuracy on the population of a small town. If tested positive, add to study and immediately start HCQ + AzPAK +zinc if positive. And even do a supplementary study of a significant number of ‘negative’ and give 1/2 the HCQ + +, and a placebo to the other half.
We would know in a matter of a couple of weeks.
I am in the camp that the drug HCQ was discredited because it was available and cheap. Plus the drug dex(whatever) was in the works but needed to be approved by the FDA. What better way than to do it through a pandemic. The latter drug treatment cost is nearly 3K USD as opposed to maybe a cheaper supply of the former. This has to do with money more than healing victims. In addition, I also believe it was a power grab. The fact that the President was for and demoncrat governors started banning this as treatment without knowing anything about the drug spoke volumes. I am in the camp that HCQ is the better treatment than the more expensive alternative. This has been backed up by nurses in the field.
Why not try to kill he virus the moment it shows up?
If you don’t want to worry about infectious LIPID COATED viruses, such as the corona virus, swine flu, herpes etc…..there is always BHT, one of the best kept secrets…..
BHT (butylatedhydroxytouluene) which disables most lipid coated viruses including the corona virus, influenza, shingles and herpes amongst many others. Suggested starting dosage is anywhere from 250mg to 450mg can be doubled for several days, but suggested to remain in the 500mg range or below. For better absorption it is recommended to dissolve BHT first in oil, olive oil will do nicely and to speed up dissolving a few seconds in a microwave or set the container with the oil solution in a hot water bath. Why dissolving in oil first? BHT will only dissolve in either oil or alcohol and by going this route it will speed up absorption and you get by using smaller amounts of it.
One suggested way is to take 200ml (milliliter) of olive oil and dissolve 18 gm of BHT, or 277.782 grains if you using a powder scale used for re-loading. Each tsp. depending on its size should give you approx. 450 mg of BHT. It is better to be pro-active by taking BHT, even so BHT will still kill the virus but it cannot cure any of the other problems which the virus may have created. I hope they come up with a vaccine, but would not hold my breath.

And I think Dr. Fauci and the CDC should be ordered by the President to have it set up for Monday morning. STAT!!!
He wanted the virus to spread and be more deadly.
He wanted to stick it to the President.
And he’s probably on big pharma’s payroll and would probably eventually approve a much more expensive drug.
