Multiple Secret Service agents tasked with planning Vice President Pence's trip to Arizona this week were reportedly removed from the trip after showing signs of coronavirus infection, sources with knowledge of the situation told The Washington Post.
As many as 10 Secret Service and other law enforcement agents working on the trip were replaced after showing symptoms of the virus, and at least one tested positive for the disease two senior administration officials, speaking on terms of anonymity, told the newspaper.
A USSS spokesperson declined to confirm that any agents were removed from the trip over COVID-19 concerns, and told The Hill in an email that the agency "continues to operate in compliance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations through the U.S. Secret Service Office of Safety, Health and Environmental Programs (SAF)."
“The health and safety of our workforce, their families, and that of our protectees remains the agency’s highest priority," they added.
A spokesperson for the vice president, Devin O'Malley, also declined to confirm the agents' removal and slammed the Post in a statement to the newspaper for covering the story.

Hmmm. Are they actually sick, I wonder. One would assume if they felt the slightest bit sick they would not come to work.

Umm, who cares. This virus isn’t going to hurt them. At least they can stop the pretense of saving lives by wearing their acquiescence flag on their faces.

Tell that to all the people on ventilators when only a small percentage of them will survive.
Tell that to the people (even young people) who have scarred lungs (fibrosis) and may be on oxygen for life.
Tell that to those who have had their fingers and toes amputated.
And last but not least tell that to all the families who have lost their elderly relatives.
I very often think that some nefarious person has a viral of virus and spreads it where they think they need it to be spread in all the right places so that all the right people will be affected.
I’m sure they would think it would be great if the Secret Service were able to spread it to the vice president and the President himself and then they can say “see they wouldn’t wear masks”!
I know someone that knew someone that was only 32 and died from Covid. The flat out denial by some is just nuts.

It’s the blanket statement that bothered me. Granted MOST people won’t die from it. But many will and others will be damaged.
How come the whole Washington Post newsroom has not become infected? Is it because they never go anywhere and just make up news????
I sure don’t want to catch it. I wear masks, whatever good that does, and stay inside mostly. I go out only when needed.
If you go by the consensus on here it’s purely a political stunt. Trump’s been sending a ton of mixed signals, so if they go by him I can understand their confusion I guess.

This thing is going to have to run its cours. All the masks, social distancing, etc. is just prolonging the agony. But, that is what Fauci wants because he has finally gotten what he wants. Notariety! He definitely has a lack that need to be filled.
A lot of them are oldtimers though. I don’t get it really. It’s just bizarre to think that something like this is ‘fake’ and all politics-based. Very strange.
Not that strange. Conservatives have always been attracted to conspiracy theories over the decades.
