After reading my latest Post report, @hughhewitt tells his radio audience this morning that he hears from several leading conservatives that Justice Alito, 70, is considering retirement, and adds that he also hears the Alito family is ready to leave Washington, D.C.— Robert Costa (@costareports) July 1, 2020
If true, yet another reason Trump must win re-election.
Can’t say I blame him, Washington was a swamp, now it’s a sewer.
Alito must be more of a human, and less of an ideologue than Ginsburg. Ginsburg is hanging on my her fingernails in hopes that Trump won’t pick her replacement.
Hugh Hewitt is a pathetic tool.
If he retires before November the political storm is going to be incredible.
I’ll take a “wait and see” on this.
I could not blame him either.
I have a relative who moved to D.C. to take a high-level banking job. He was shocked to quickly discover how morally decrepit most of the population was there. He retired and got the heck out of Dodge.
70 is young and haven’t heard that he is ill or anything.

I think both Alito and Thomas will come up in early spring 2021, and just say by July, they retire....it’ll be timed to the end of the normal hearing year for them. RBG and Breyer will try to hold until the very end of 2024.
And it’s imperative that we hold the Senate to confirm Conservative judges.
As it stands, the GOP has eight or nine seats in jeopardy with only a current four seat edge, while the RATS have but one shaky seat (Jones).
Alito is good. I would be sad to see him go.
On the other hand, if we manage to invalidate the entire Obama presidency, I would want Kagen and Sotomayor to be removed. And I think RBG really needs to retire. And I’d like John Roberts to be convinced to step down in order to spend more time with his lawyers.
Gossip. Nothing more. Hewitt is almost always wrong in his predictions anyway. Right now he is obsessed with renaming the USS Stennis aircraft carrier and eliminating statues of former racists.
The GOP Senators most at risk is of their own doing because they have consistently distanced themselves from President Trump and his policies.
Bet he is a big fan of Nimrata Randhawa.

Of course he is. Only leftists never die or retire. I wonder if he will wait until after the next election no matter who wins?
Hewitt is an open border POS RINO who has actually adopted some of the extremist left language recently with regards to the assault on statues. I despise him almost as viscously as I do Democrats. He can eff himself with broken glass.
