Russia should have elections like us with the true power not being elected. We like front men.
Demographics is destiny.
...and so the Democrats are 4 months from the same here, except for MUCH LONGER than 2036, should they win, make DC and PR states, throw out all voting rules with their judges, start after our guns (again with their judges supporting it), and silence political opposition (yet again, with their judges supporting).
And yet SOME PEOPLE here STILL will sit out the November election, to ‘teach the Republicans a lesson’ - and no, I don’t give a crap if some of those DNC-enablers served in the military.
Putin hasn’t been bad as far as Russian Leaders go- has he?
I mean he hasn’t murdered millions, Russia seems to have a stable economy and people are not starving, and he is not provoking the world...
There have been far worse than Putin. I really don’t care who Russians want as their leader, as long as it is not a power-hungry dictator bent on taking over the world.
And Putin does not seem to be that- is he?
THIS MEANS WAR! (to the wacky neocons)
The Democrats are just jealous they haven’t gotten away with it yet.
I could not care less about how other people are governed.
The war is here.
If it wasn’t for Donald Trump I’d be saying we live in a glass house. The Uni-party is strong.
Now if the Stars and Bars were flying in place of that multi-colored rag then Putin might have to worry!
What the anti-Putinistas are upset about is that it also performs a one-time reset on the term clock so that Putin can potentially be elected to his two terms under the new rule after he completes his current term.
He still needs to run for president and be successfully re-elected two more times to say in until 2036.
I fully support the amendments and my in-laws in Russia do as well. If I could vote for them, I would.
some russian patriot needs to step up and off putie
Vladimir Putin is heading for victory in a referendum that could extend his rule until 2036.
Democrats have the same plan wonder how that happened?.
I believe Putin is doing his country a grave disservice in his attempts to retain power. What Russia needs is an example of a peaceful transfer of power, like George Washington provided for us. Washington showed great wisdom in deciding that 8 years was enough for any man.
