[Sen] Cornyn [RINO-TX] Embraces Amnesty After Supreme Court Ruling

After the United States Supreme Court upheld an Obama-era amnesty program, Republican U.S. Sen. John Cornyn (TX) says now is the time for a “permanent solution” to provide amnesty for an entire class of illegal aliens.

Created in an executive order by then-President Barack Obama in 2012 after Congress declined to pass comprehensive immigration reform, DACA permitted some illegal aliens to remain in the United States and prevented law enforcement officials from deporting them.

The lawless program was challenged by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and President Donald Trump as unconstitutional. In a 5-4 decision on Thursday, George W. Bush-appointed Chief Justice John Roberts sided with the court’s liberals to prevent Trump from dismantling the program.

After the decision was released, Cornyn took to the floor of the U.S. Senate to deliver a nearly 20-minute speech, in which he said the decision had “thrust upon us a unique moment and an opportunity.”

“We need to take action and pass legislation that will unequivocally allow these young men and women to stay in the only home, the only country, they’ve known,” he added.

Cornyn doubled down on the comments in a series of posts on Twitter, in which he defended his comments—in both English and Spanish—saying illegal alien DACA recipients “deserve nothing less.”

Cornyn’s colleague from Texas, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, offered a strikingly different speech on the floor after the decision. In his remarks, Cruz tore into Chief Justice John Roberts for “playing games with the Court to achieve the policy outcomes he desires.”

Tea parties across Texas worked hard to get rid of Cornyn in the 2014 election. As a long time establishment incumbent, he received less than 60% of the vote. With the diminished energy of the tea party in 2020, Cornyn received 76% of the vote. It is almost impossible to get rid of a long term incumbent due to their fund raising advantage from special interest groups. Also low information voters nearly always vote for the name they recognize.

Remember that Lois Lerner's IRS targeted all of the Tea Party chapters and removed tax-exempt status from many of them, with the help of Mueller's FBI.

The IRS hard drives all suffered catastrophic crashes as the investigation commenced.

I suspect that Cornyn might retire after this upcoming term. He will be 74. He has been in the senate since 2002,

If so, we can expect him to move further left since he will not be running for re-election.

SCOTUS did not uphold DACA. Trump will end the program again using the procedures required by the court. No dispute over Trump’s right to do it.

They’ll just make it a badge of honor, like they shout out their abortions. “Everyone has chlamydia”, they’ll sneer. “Check your privilege.”

What’s ruining their careers are shut downs and lock-ins that prevent movies, concerts and personal appearances that keep them in the public eye.

Publicly taking political and ideological positions that turn the majority of the audience against them.

Living lavish lifestyles that create envy. Demanding the audience pay so much in taxes and reparations that no one can afford to pay for entertainment. Celebrating the ruining of businesses, the of firing anyone who thinks incorrectly, the destruction of major urban centers will reap them no audience and no venues. Performing in vehicles that are bound to be cancelled at some point for something pointless.

All film and music and sports stars have a shelf-life. The current ones are wasting their allotted 15 minutes.

It’s already impossible to tell the single-named celebrities apart. The government they say they want will strip them of all assets until they are all living in the streets with their fans.
