n a stunning plot twist, U.S. Attorney Geoffrey S. Berman issued a statement Friday night asserting that he will not, in fact, resign — in direct contradiction to an announcement that he was stepping down made hours earlier from Attorney General William Barr.

“I learned in a press release from the Attorney General tonight that I was ‘stepping down’ as United States Attorney,” Berman, said in a statement posted to the Southern District of New York Twitter account.

“I have not resigned, and have no intention of resigning, my position, to which I was appointed by the Judges of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York,” Berman’s statement continued.

You don’t suppose that Barr was trying to give this treasonous slime an easy out? He could quietly resign, “for family reasons” or be fired and indicted for sedition, corruption, and wind up at the Battery at the end of a rope??

Why don’t you knock off the complaints about Trump how boring and useless.

why don’t you save your post and your complaints for the Republican party and the Republicans they’re the ones that keep Trump from doing anything they’re the ones that never support him when he tries to do something they the Republicans are the real resistance

https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/mar/13/white-house-firing-us-attorneys-standard-practice/

“For example, President Bill Clinton fired 93 U.S. attorneys soon after taking office in 1993 — among them Jeff Sessions, now attorney general, who at the time was U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Alabama. Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama engaged in similar efforts to replace federal prosecutors with their own appointees.”

His office will be packed up, his electronics & documents seized, and the locks changed before you can say “Pelosi is a Communist.”

Inremeber the Clintonistas fire all the U.S. Ambulance Chasers and then even escorted the White House Travel Office, a non political office, off the White House Grounds. Trump should fire ever one of them too and start all over.

Preet Bharara was U.S. Attorney of SDNY, and refused to resign when Jeff Sessions asked him to. He was then fired. This guy will get his ass fired too, and then get a gig on CNN, or MSNBC.

Re: “Why don’t you knock off the complaints about Trump”

I'm not the guy you responded to.

However, Trump could have appointed his own U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, which is one of the most politically important Districts in the USA.

The fact that the Southern District judges voted unanimously to appoint Geoffrey Berman as the permanent U.S. Attorney should have been the instant tip off to Trump that he needed to get his own nomination for U.S. Attorney to the Senate at top speed.

Instead, more than two years later, Trump is just starting the nomination of his own choice.

That is pure negligence or pure incompetence.

The President has full authority to appoint ALL U.S. attorneys. They serve at his pleasure. This idiot will go for sure, whether he likes it or not. Somebody set up Barr for this public dispute. Barr even identified the attorney who will be acting U.S. attorney until the permanent one is in place.

If I recall correctly, Thomas Jefferson wasn’t happy with the Attorneys and how they initially operated and fired all attorneys, started over.

You work for Barr, who in turn works for the President. Bye, Bye.
This was a preemptive strike. The swamp creature is part of a plot to attack the President shortly before the election.

What is it with these far left, Obama deep state crazies anyways?
We can do it the easy way or the hard way.
He won't take the easy way of resignation, he just gets kicked out instead.
