I’ve had my scanner on Zone 6 East for well over an hour and have almost NOTHING!

My SIL works for FD. He says his contact in Atlanta. Zone 4 and 6 are empty.

The scanners are dead. Whoever is saying this is a non issue must not read past their CNN home page. The local media won’t report this unless an until one of their own is killed.
Uh no all the cops have walked. There are no cops on the streets of Atlanta right now and all surrounding counties are refusing assistance as well as the national guard. GA state patrol only handling accidents.

Atlanta was hit by a bad case of the “blue flu” Wednesday evening.
The Atlanta Police Department acknowledged that many officers were not reporting for duty, the evening after a policeman was charged with capital murder for shooting Rayshard Brooks, a fleeing felon who’d grabbed his Taser and fired it.
“The department is experiencing a higher than usual number of call outs with the incoming shift,” the department said, though it insisted there had been no mass walkout, as had been reported.
“We have enough resources to maintain operations & remain able to respond to incidents,” the department wrote on its Twitter feed.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution asked both the Atlanta police and a local union representative the number of officers involved, but did not get answers
They think they will be able to buy them off to make them perfect sock puppets to play their role in their produced drama.
I would have packed and left the city within 15m after this announcement. Any cop has a target on their back, get out why you can.

He told us every surrounding county PD including his was going to refuse assistance and that is what has happened. GA state patrol is working accidents only or officer needs assistance calls. Well with corona out there, it’s irresponsible for officers to report to work if they’ve experienced coughing fits. It’s a shame the only way they can safeguard the public is by taking two weeks off while they wait to see if anything develops.
Calling in “sick” to say they’re out...or maybe just saying, “FU, I ain’t dealing with this crap today”.
