ATLANTA, Ga. (CBS46) -- Several Atlanta Police officers have reportedly walked off the job at precincts across the city. The claim comes hours after charges were filed against ex officer Garrett Rolfe and Officer Devin Brosnan in the Rayshard Brooks' case.
The buzz of patrol officers staging walkouts and refusing to answer calls from Precincts 3,5,6 and others began circulating social Wednesday evening.
CBS46 confirmed the walkout through sources at 8:30 p.m.
APD attempted to quiet the noise of a walkout by tweeting:

There’s a related thread on this subject that has well over 300 responses where within that thread a few Atlanta residents chimed in and refuted this. They say it’s a false claim. I don’t know one way or the other. I’m just commenting on the statements by several Freepers who say they are from the city who are refuting this.
According to the official tweet, it’s a call out, not a walk out.

This is an election year. A crazy time, it is. If this craziness and insane conduct from BLM, Antifa, Democrat/UniParty Politicians does not die down after Trump’s reelection, there must be a major a**-whoopin’ to slap these destroyers down once and for all.
Uh no all the cops have walked. There are no cops on the streets of Atlanta right now and all surrounding counties are refusing assistance as well as the national guard. GA state patrol only handling accidents.

A common occurrence here on FR. It seems “national news” misses a lot.
I’m from Georgia. I have friends in Atlanta I’m not going to doxx them but this is not a hoax. You can imply that if you like. If you would point me to your referenced posts ( other than those at the beginning noting an early tweet was pulled) I’ll be glad to eat my words.

If you dispute those Freepers claims you take it up with them.
