Nonsense, I’m sure I have a recent nicely worded “we support BLM” statement from Morgan Stanley in my email inbox somewhere.
They deserve it for having one in the first place. No sympathy here at all.
If the company is profitable and you have a job, why should they change the way they run their business?
The parts of the lawsuit quoted in the article do not seem to say much except that Morgan Stanley was not progressive enough and read like they were written by a college sophomore.
These large companies were blackmailed years ago by Jesse Jackson and his Rainbow Coalition which basically threatened to boycott companies like Pepsi if they did not hire blacks. Pepsi tried it and deliberately recruited blacks for certain manager positions. Many were just not qualified and production suffered. And the white employees had to sit back and shut up and were forced to attend ‘diversity’ classes. It’s only gotten worse.
Morgan eh. I may be blind but was not JP Morgan a white guy?? I always said if your name is on the building you get to pay yourself and do what you want.
In reality JP Morgan was a robber baron and I am not involved in his firm by way of equity or loan. This diversity crap has got to stop. That BS that diversity is our strength ONLY works when everyone is pulling in the same direction. The way this diversity is set up now, diversity is the goal of the organization beating all things including making a profit. If I had a large business, I care not one whit whom is working there and succeeding as long as they are adding to the bottom line. Hiring token employees or promoting them above their level of ability is diametrically opposed to the bottom line. My business should not be a social operation UNLESS it is set up to be one. When I was in a senior management job, I hired and promoted everyone fairly and evenly. Never harassed any of the staff and never had a discrimination or complaint raised. That is the way it should be. Did it all without a “diversity chief”. I was brought up better.
This is why one must check out people for left wing positions like this very carefully
