An investigation is underway after three New York City Police Department (NYPD) officers were allegedly poisoned with bleach at a Lower Manhattan Shake Shack on Monday evening.
While policing a protest in Lower Manhattan, the Police Benevolent Association (PBA) and the Detectives Endowment Association said three NYPD officers were poisoned with bleach after ordering food and beverages at a nearby Shake Shack.
“Tonight, three of our fellow officers were intentionally poisoned by one or more workers at the Shake Shack at 200 Broadway in Manhattan,” the Detectives Endowment Association confirmed.
PBA President Pat Lynch said in a statement:
This evening, several MOS assigned to a protest detail in lower Manhattan took meal at the Shake Shack location on Broadway and Fulton Street. At some point during their meal period, the MOS discovered that a toxic substance, believed to be bleach, had been placed in their beverages.
“The contamination was not discovered until the MOS had already ingested a portion of their beverages,” Lynch said. “They are currently at the hospital receiving treatment and are expected to recover.”

It may be worse this time, because a lot of corporations have foolishly hitched their wagons to BLM, thinking that will provide “proof” that they are not a racist organization.
Such ill informed, insecure employers will likely defend the “right” of their employee to at minimum, be rude to the cops.
Was just reading about this. The FBI should come in and leave no stone unturned to find the culprits, shouldn’t be too hard. Attempted murder, terrorism, whatever. Life sentences for anyone. Draw a clean line in the sand and throw the book at them. Make clear nationally that no one dare mess with people’s food. Period.
Think these people care? Remember when Bill Ayers figured 25 million would die during his revolution? Or how about any communist revolution - which this is.

My sister was a cop. Never ate any fast food...too many excons working at these places.
She resigned some time ago - still won’t eat fast food.

I hope the culprits at least get fired. But in this atmosphere, they may not be prosecuted.
Police, stop eating food from restaurants, especially fast food businesses. Many of those employers have been hiring drug addicts for a long time.
Health inspectors should shut that place down for good! Nothing like a business loosing everything by not supervising its people.

NYPD is now saying there was “no criminality” here. Kind of an odd phrase. Are the implying that it was an accident of some sort? Or that nothing happened?
