Sure he can do that. Set the budget for any amount you would like. They won’t have any money in their account though.

Democrats are incapable of governing.

This idiot is betting on a Biden presidency.

All these blue states are counting on Biden bailing them out for their irresponsibility. For that reason alone Biden must be defeated.

The list of corrupt Illinois Governors goes back a long way - Remember Otto Kerner? But Putzker is the most corrupt of them all. He is also the richest.
If he survives a full four year term, history will not be kind to reign of Fred Flintstone.

Old news in illinois. The state constitution requires a balanced budget each year, so Blago (remember him?) used to refinance old debt and count it as revenue. Playing games that journalism majors don’t understand is how democrats keep their reputation for fiscal responsibility.

He & his wife and their families can all pony up from their personal multi-billion dollar fortunes.

Sell the planes. Sell the excess mansions and estates. Sell all but 2 cars. Sell the jewelry, the paintings, the antiques, the commercial real estate.

Follow the money. Pritzkers have a lot of it. I’ll bet, if you add up the wealth of the entire family, it’s over $42B.

Well, the battle cry in Michigan and Wisconsin is, vote democrat and pay Illinois’ debt.

Who wants to pay for New York, California, New Jersey and Illinois’ reckless spending. If you vote for Biden then Wisconsin will.

If I recall correctly, indentured servitude is still allowed in payment of debt.

So when Chicago and/or Illinois run out of money, start auctioning off politicians and their relatives, heirs, and assigns, in payment of the debt.

Sure, the rich will still own the politicians: but this time, it will be literally, and they will no longer have spending authority or the power to pass corrupt laws.

gives Medicaid access to seniors who are undocumented residents

I assume this is an illegal diversion of my federal tax dollars - theft. Democrats disgust me.

FReepers wanting to avoid a visit to google, always a good idea, can directly access the article here:

https://www.mdjonline.com/neighbor_newspapers/extra/news/pritzker-signs-pandemic-budget-that-relies-on-federal-bailout-thats-not-a-guarantee-approves-medicaid/article_d9613a9a-59f0-562f-b9eb-d07702d37d2d.amp.html

Final paragraph of the article:

Illinois’ five state employee retirement funds will get more than $8.6 billion from the general revenue fund. That’s about 20 percent of the state’s general revenue spending.

There’s a main problem, right there.
