To be honest, I haven't paid any attention to the NBA since Larry Bird and Magic Johnson were still putting on uniforms.
Since then, it's been a bunch of loud-mouthed trash-talking morons doing slam dunks.
I hate slam dunks. Watching somebody sink a 3-pointer from 30 feet out is way more satisfying.

Yep, we all are, they’re no different; though they believe they are. Other than historical figures, those who contributed to civilization or were detriments to civilization, most are not remembered other than in obscure writings. Ask any kid today about a famous actor or sports star from the 50s and most all will return a blank stare. Doesn’t take 20,000 years.
I never understood why people, members of my own family, were interested in professional ball games; packs of muscular men running around with a child’s toy. Jefferson had it right, “Let your gun therefore be the constant companion of your walks.”

OF course the REAL SMART PLAYERS will use their college education to become contributing members of society and maybe turn the arenas into soup kitchens and homeless shelters..

I would have no problem with pro sports being cancelled .
There is just something odd about millions of lower income people utilizing a few millionaires because said millionaires can throw, catch, or hit a ball.

It provides millions of jobs and is a huge industry.
Entertainment has always had one redeeming value, it takes our minds off of all the BS that politics, war, economy and death plague us with.
If the NFL and the NBA fold, I won’t miss a thing. But MLB, and the NHL will always be favorites.
AND-—NONE of them continue to live IN THE HOOD—or wherever they grew up.
They all buy mansions in the best parts of town-—LeBron James has multiple homes in Bel Air, Calif.
