Black Lives Matter activists pushing to 'defund the police' have proposed plans to replace officers with social workers, mental health advocates and homeless charities. Their chants called for widespread disbanding of U.S. police forces after Minneapolis councilors voted to abolish the city's police force in an historic move after days of protests over the killing of George Floyd during an arrest. However supporters of 'defund the police' say their demands are not necessarily about eliminating police departments or stripping agencies of all of their money. They say it is time for the country to address systemic problems in policing in America and spend more on what communities across the U.S. need, like housing and education.

So now, when the social worker comes to take your kId away from you because racism or something, there’s no police backup?
County Sheriff in most states have higher authority than the local city police. The country would have to take over and hopefully these moronic elected officials understand that taking funding from city police means giving the same funding to the county police.
Do not despair. For conservative America, the best event is the continuing process of the destruction of the cities by the people who live there.
The cities are the very essence of Democrat power. If the cities destroy themselves from within, so goes their political influence
If you live in one of the cities, make other arrangements...... get the hell out.

It would be nice if their demands upon themselves were executed, but they are so inept they'll never get it done so we can behold the results.
What if this is all a budget rouse to foist all police matters into the hands of each states state police. Local police will get state police qualified and meld into state police ranks. Local police barracks will become state police barracks.
Just a thought trying to figure out what the blue run cities are thinking.
In my case they will be replaced by my sidearm. And I live in a state where I have quite a bit of latitude to use it in self defense.
An armed society is a polite society.
And this just struck me: The press is talking like Trump really WOULD be Hitler if he were to actually call out the military. And make no mistake. If any cities really DO get rid of the police, those cities will most definitely need full military intervention. i.e. they may be trying to force his hand.
Unfortunately for them, it is only in their bubble that people think this strategy will work in their favor.
Man, these people REALLY don’t want him to be president. They have become the epitome of the child laying on the floor kicking and screaming near the checkout lane at the grocery store because mommy won’t buy them a candy bar. And they seriously think the world is gonna blame trump for their tantrum and not their own elected Mayors.
This should work out well..Especially domestic violence calls and people high on drugs...

911: “OK, we’ll schedule a marriage counselor to come to your house tomorrow.”
So when a bunch of criminals come to invade your home, do you call the social worker, a mental health advocate, or a homeless charity? They’d better let everyone know quickly, because with no police, there’s going to be a LOT of home invasions.
I say you’d call the homeless charity first, because you’re going to be without a home, and then the mental health advocate, because you’re going to go out of your mind with the desire to kill someone.
