What you have is a Trump trap. If he does nothing and let the city burn he is weak and ineffective. If he sends in troops to handle the situation he is a tyrant and loses the trust of the American people.
And so President Trump needs to continue to act behind the scenes rounding up those people organizing and manipulating the situation.
At the same time he must take ownership of the issue. He can not continue to play defense or they will continue to call all the plays.
The issue is racial equality and treatment of minority groups in the United States. One thing to remember and lesson we should have learned from Clinton. Symbolism over substance goes a long way with the voting public.
