Does he want the entire force to call out today?

That’s why they haven’t fired them.

Then maybe he’s an old school Democrat mayor like Frank Rizzo, Bill Daley, and Sam Yorty when it comes to law and order.

I think POTUS can take NY this year. If he can get the police unions to back him, run against Fredo for sending old people to their death, and run against Deblazio in NYC, it could be the perfect wave. Wishful thinking, I know. But a lot of my relatives in Buffalo have already turned to Trump.

My I suggest the following scientific treatise upon a similar pattern/phenomenon occurring elsewhere in nature.

The guy who got shoved is apparently a well known agitator who has been turning up at demonstrations and taunting the police for years.

He was just lucky up till now. I don’t think the cop actually meant to knock him over this time, either (although I do think that he should have stopped immediately when he saw blood come out of the man’s ears). But the guy surely should have known that he was doing something stupid and one of these days it was going to catch up with him...or probably that’s exactly what he wanted.

Fine. Let’s call the man an agitator.

I still don’t want cops who think it’s acceptable to shove 75 year old agitators to the sidewalk, nearly killing them. What’s next? Waco style raids on retirement homes?

“He was in the area after the curfew. One of the things that happened before was conflict among protesters and there was a danger of fights breaking out, and police felt it was important to clear that scene for the safety of protesters,” said Brown...

So instead of beating him into submission with their billy clubs, cuffing him, and taking him out of the area to clear it they instead shove him to the ground and walk right by him, leaving him to remain in the area they're trying to clear. Yeah, makes perfect sense.

When you reach for a police officer’s belt, he will push you. Unless he’s not paying attention. I’m in my 70’s too, I would never be as stupid as that guy.

Not only that; he's a black demonrat.

He's been mayor of Buffalo for about 15 years and has proved to be calm and competent.

Buffalo lucked out.

Being 75 does not give you the right to break the law. Don't be deceived folks...this old bastard was sent there to achieve this goal. If you act like an idiot you pay the price has nothing to do with age. they should prosecute the dumb liberal asshole. By the way I'm 73!!!

The ear bleeding is a set up.

No way his ear bled out that quickly.

I almost dealt with the exact situation many years ago when an elderly man fell off his bike and hit his head on the sidewalk right in front of me.

He bled out from his ear but it took a few minutes to start even dripping.
