I watched the video. The right hand had a cell phone in it, and he wasn’t reaching for anything. I don’t care if the old guy is a pain in the ass. What the cops did to him is outrageous. Government always gives itself license to abuse citizens because it’s in love with its self-image as being on a mission to save the world.
I’m really tired of the word ‘outrage’, and of all its various conjugations/permutations.

He’s lucky he was only knocked on his ass. Anyone who interferes with law enforcement should, at a minimum, be neutralized, and if they get hurt it’s primarily their own fault.
