Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was seen kneeling at Ottawa's Black Lives Matter protest on Friday.
Trudeau was also seen clapping and nodding his head when a speaker at the event said that it was up to Canadians to be either a "racist or an anti-racist," according to The Canadian Press.
That wasn't the only spectacle at the event. Hecklers gave Trudeau a piece of their mind, telling Trudeau to "stand up to Trump."
Trudeau has been making a push to reintroduce himself to the public as the progressive prime minister, having addressed racial inequality for "racialized Canadians" in his last several press conferences.
"Anti-black racism is real. Unconscious bias is real. Systemic discrimination is real. And they happen here, in Canada," said Trudeau on Monday, later saying: "I hear you when you say that you are anxious and angry. When you say that this brings back painful experiences of racism that you've faced. I want you to know that I am listening, and that your government will always stand with you."
Trudeau has been partially grilled by the press for his patronizing tone, considering the prime minister wore blackface an unknown number of times, including an infamous incident wherein he wore "brownface" at the age of 29.

In our defence, Trudeau’s Liebrals won only 33.12% of the popular vote — compared to the 34.34% won by the Conservatives (under the less-than-stellar leadership of on-the-way-out-the-door Andrew Scheer).
