Two Buffalo police officers have been suspended without pay following an incident caught on camera, showing them shoving an elderly man, causing him to stumble backward and fall, injuring his head.

The video shows the 75-year-old man approaching officers during a tense protest in Niagara Square and the situation escalating quickly, as the officers shoved the man, who stumbled backward and fell. The graphic video shows the elderly man lying on the ground with blood gushing from what appeared to be his right ear:

There was no excuse for this. The gentleman approached them in a calm manner.

Id like to know what he said to them. By the looks of it he was part of why they cops were there.

I’m sorry that happened to the old guy.
However, when surrounded by protesters who at any moment, may throw a brick at your head, that is not the time to expect calm dialog and conversation. The gentleman should have kept his distance.

Excuses for abject assholery.

Clearly a soccer player. The cop barely touched him.

This was a classic leftist tactic from the 1960s.

Taunt and provoke the police and hope somebody over-reacts.

Then the leftists get great media coverage.

Of course, voters are not so impressed—they don’t want any trouble-makers in their neighborhood, and look to the police as their first line of defense.

He had minimal age related balance. A ten year old wouldn’t have fallen.
Next time the old man comes to a protest, he should bring a walker or a wheelchair. Was too bad.

The old guy was obviously confrontational. But to just shove him backward like that was stupid. Cops should know better, but they’re not trained to be polite. If not for the video, all we would know is “one person was injured when he tripped and fell”.

I’m with Wilderness Conservative I want to know what he said. What could an old man say that could cause this? If you notice the first two officers were stopping to talk to him but it the the officers in back that knocked him down and told the officers in front to move on.

"He had minimal age related balance."

I had the same impression. The officer barely touched him. Maybe the police shouldn't have touched him at all, but he approached them in a tense situation, and the officer just put out his hand in a "get back" gesture. I would hardly call it a "shove."

No, he did not. As they were advancing in a line tellling people to clear the street, the old man was trying to tap them them with his phone like an agitation technique. Then he got within grabbing distance of the cop’s sidearm and was pushed away, forcefully. His fall was an accident, provoked by his behavior,

When cops are following through a trained act, they don’t evaluate, they just do what they are trained to do.

Past couple days I’ve seen stories of what could be police overreacting. I know they are only human but damn doing this to an old person?

Yep, people that make a living picking up nickels in front of steam rollers shouldn't expect long and happy lives.

He was confronting them, but that’s no excuse. But then, it’s a hated WHITEY! White men don’t count.

If you have a lineup of one hundred policemen, the odds are reasonable that one of them is either not the brightest bulb, is on steroids and lacks self-control, or is just having a bad day (wife cheating etc).

That is the real world, and the leftist provocateurs count on it.
