A South Carolina woman is facing charges for looting from two businesses when a peaceful demonstration turned riotous in Charleston, police said.
Emma Waters, 19, was arrested Wednesday in connection with burglaries at a clothing shop and a grocery store Saturday, police said.
Surveillance video showed people breaking into front windows at Las Olas before merchandise was stolen from a display at the clothing store, according to a police report obtained by WCSC.
A woman was seen climbing through the window before unlocking a door and letting several other looters inside to rip merchandise from shelves, police said.
Damage to the store and the value of stolen clothing totaled $25,000, police said.
An employee at Las Olas posted a surveillance on its Instagram page, saying a woman believed to be Waters let in other looters during the protests, WCIV reports.
The owner told police she was also spotted stealing merchandise herself, according to the station.
Waters is also facing charges for a burglary at King Street Grocery, where a manager told police $100,000 of food and other items was stolen, as well as a cash register and money, WCSC reports

Just another unjustly persecuted peaceful rioter.
Looks like Rachel the Pancake girl. You know, the one accidentally flattened by the bulldozer in Israel while protesting the demolishing of the homes of terrorist families.
I really like the gray and white striped outfit she is wearing. Did she get that at Los Olas or because of Los Olas? It really makes her look gangsta.
She’ll probably be the only one prosecuted. What with all that whiteness and stuff.

Lol! I love the bad @$$ mug poses! She’s thinking she’s all that. I hope she gets 10 years to think about that.
Well that is probably what is going to happen to her if she was darker she might get off easier especially at this point in time.
