“Farmer Jones: Why, no officer. Everything is real quiet around here. “

I was told once by a guy that sometimes guys would mess with the wrong person and it’s be years (and years) later and some farmer might pull up bones while working the farm.

Now, a lot of city folks don’t know that most farmers leave a parcel of land to lay for a few years and rotate their crops that way.... As I knew that (farming relatives), I could believe this guy and what he said, especially with the state he came from....

However, it wasn’t until I came to Texas I heard about the Three S’s Rule.

Some people just have to learn the hard way. It’s nature’s way of curbing the stupid.

A lot of farmers leave a 20-30 foot strip between some fields and along a property line - never farmed, always wild ... and available.
