Biden and Trump all tied up in Texas: poll

It’s been nearly half a century since a Democratic presidential candidate carried Texas. You have to go all the way back to Jimmy Carter in 1976.

But a new poll in the Lone Star State suggests that Texans are split right now between President Trump and Democrat challenger Joe Biden, with five months to go until the November general election.

According to a Quinnipiac University survey released Wednesday, 44 percent of registered voters in Texas say they’d vote for the GOP incumbent if the election were held today, with 43 percent saying they’d support the former vice president and presumptive Democratic nominee. Seven percent say they’re unsure or don’t know, and 3 percent indicate they’d back a different candidate.

Yeah, because Texans prefer rioting and looting by feral youths and outside agitators to a healthy and vibrant economy where law and order is observed throughout the land.

Really?

I'm tired of Trump's mouth so I stopped donating to the campaign.

He's been irritating me throughout fake Covid but not enough to stop me from crawling over broken glass to vote for him again in November.

Two words...Supreme Court.

hrc was up by 12 points and more at times nationwide during 2016. She was also up in polls in the mid-west states that she ended up losing.

Never believe polls, folks. Go out and vote, please.

He needs to find a way to be "presidential" in moments like this. Otherwise he doesn't deserve a second term.

What do you mean by "presidential?" Does that mean shutting up and letting the lying liberals use him as a punching bag? God, you're pathetic.

Yes, it would be much better to have Joe Biden, dementia and all, in the White House/s. Honestly! Wish you would just go back to California where you can’t hurt anyone.

“Trump up +4 in PA but only up +1 in TX LOL”n

You can take that Pennsylvania poll to the bank and Trump will win the Keystone State by >4%.

This Texas poll is garbage.

Trump wins Texas by >10%.

Hell NO... if this poll actually polled Texas residents, they all live in Austin, which might as well be the DC suburbs.

In the area that I live in (The Woodlands, Conroe area) No, but there are too many blue areas in the State unfortunately.
He will loose the Big urban areas as usual, but so far the suburbs (where most people live) are still with him, for now.

And that will happen to the witless “Republicans” if they continue to let Texas turn into Chihuahua Norte.

Any reasonable person doesn’t let Twitter comments sway his vote for POTUS. Either you prefer his policies, or you prefer the other guy’s.

Don't give a shiite about him running his mouth...I only care about actions and results and in these arenas, he is second to none. I pray to G-d we are blessed with four more years of Trump.

Not after Biden’s major covered idiotic comment about the “police escalating the tension” caused the rioting.... This will have legs until he is either non nominated or defeated.

No one— no one will listen to Biden about our police, and the libs HAVE to believe the police will protect them or else everything otherwise defeats their anti-police and anti- 2nd Amendment crap. Biden put the cap on it today— moron that he is, and disarming lawful black owners does not sell under these conditions in any case. Long memory.

Montgomery County is more representative of Texas than Harris County and Montgomery County votes Republican.

If Biden is tied with Trump in Texas, then why is Texas escaping all the rioting, burning and looting taking place in much of the rest of the country? Well, because the lefties know that they will get their butts handed to them if they try this crap in Texas (except within the city limits of Austin). And it won’t be just the cops doing the handing. Don’t mess with Texas isn’t a motto in the Lone Star State for nothing.
