I thought we did that months ago when we banned people from China from entering the country?
Chinese carriers were still allowed some flights. Not anymore.
We didn’t ban the flights. We banned Chinese nationals who aren’t green card holders. U.S. citizens (and others) were still able to travel freely to and from China.

They have been able to at least fly FREIGHT and mail...not passengers in most cases...don’t know what the latest is but this action sounds like everything is off.
