The head of the Minneapolis police union says George Floyd’s “violent criminal history” needs to be remembered and that the protests over his death are the work of a “terrorist movement.”

“What is not being told is the violent criminal history of George Floyd. The media will not air this,” police union president Bob Kroll told his members in a letter posted Monday on Twitter.

Floyd had landed five years behind bars in 2009 for an assault and robbery two years earlier, and before that, had been convicted of charges ranging from theft with a firearm to drugs, the Daily Mail reported.

That does not change that the policeman killed him.

Your post does not change that this is a terrorist movement.

I do doubt he was committing any crimes while handcuffed on the ground being murdered.

Sorry, George Floyd’s “violent criminal history” is not relevant. Need to call balls and strikes here. He was killed by a cop using excessive force. But that doesn’t give anyone the right to riot, loot, and raze businesses.

Ok. He may have. But he was down an cuffed. The police are no judge jury and executioner.

Of course it doesn’t. That’s not the point of getting the facts out there.

In the Ferguson debacle, we were fed all the crappola about the “Gentle Giant” and how his upcoming foray into higher education had been tragically cut short by a murdering cop.

The Mr. Floyd died, tragically, and at the hands of a dirty cop. That doesn’t mean when building the epilogue of this story we should omit all of the pertinent facts.

I don’t disagree with him, but at this point, its best to leave Floyd out of this.

While I am not suggesting this guy deserved to die as per usual and with almost everyone of these situations that has happened in the last 10 years the story is ever changing and never what the MSM presents it to be. The story is not the whole story. From skittles to the gentle giant.

There is something fishy about that counterfeit $20?

George Floyd had ‘violent criminal history’: Minneapolis police union chief

If that justified killing him them why didn't the police just shoot him? More merciful.

If only he had not passed the fake 20 and the shop owner had not called the police maybe all of the rioting/protesting and George would still be alive.

he died at the hands of a police officer... what is your proof he was a dirty cop.

mr floyd was killed by a cop’s arrogance and need to exert dominance ... mr floyd’s past has nothing to do with his murder or manslaughter.

Odd.

They seem to want to bring up the policeman’s past history, but not this guy’s past history.

Yet another fine example of why any and all Public Sector Employees (don’t call them “workers”, they aren’t) should NEVER be permitted to belong to ANY Union at all, ever.
