Tort culture and unwillingness by authorities to shed the blood of thugs and hoodlums.

Theyve already spray painted the Lincoln Memorial this riot. Built in the 1920s, it wasnt until the reign of Obama that it was vandalized and now it has been marred something like 4 or 5 times.
What changed? There has been civil unrest before. There have been militant Communists before.
From his seat in his memorial, Lincoln has gazed down upon the Bonus Army, the March on Washington, Resurrection City, the May Day Tribe, and dozens of demonstrations by partisans of one cause or another. None of them vandalized his memorial until the Obama era.

officers directly told downtown business owners they were not obligated to defend property and then let the mob loot millions in inventory
Not only will insurers hike their rates out of affordability, why would any business owner rebuild knowing the police will do nothing the next time? The amount of capital, sweat, love and hope that goes into building a small business is not an endless well. You don't do all of that without an implied contract of law and order.
This story gets to me, because I love mystery books. I have a paltry collection compared to others, but I see them as small treasures and love getting immersed in a story. I am so sad for the Uncles and their customers.

It makes the mafia protection racket look like a much better business proposition.

And the cowardly police just stood by and let them. Does anyone still think the police are on “our” side?

Police are now agents of a fascist superstate and serve their paymasters instead of the people. That’s what has changed

anyone know what the DC blackout is about last night. Seeing a lot of people claiming that twitter was censoring the hashtag. they tried to burn down the historic St Johns church
i despise these looters who think stealing from innocent people is acceptable
It is right out of 1984. They need to destroy history in order to control us.

Im pretty sure the insurance policy excludes damage from a civil insurrection, so I suspect I wont get a cent for either the building or the contents. I'm pretty sure the owner is the kind of long-term parlor Red who has voted for, year after year, and has supported and empathized with, year after year, just the kind of CP scum that has further despoiled Minnesota, decade after decade.
I'd be just about as sure that the owner would have been perfectly content if the destruction and looting had been directed at gunshops, fuel stations, law enforcement buildings, and maybe even certain churches too.
To: gattaca
I’m guessing they didn’t loot these stores.

Soros elected DAs in Houston Dallas and other looted cities.
Socialists moved into the seats of power at the Police Department and other civil offices from out of town or state.
