Candidate Trump horribly insulted both McCain and Cruz at a 2016 presidential debate.

Cruz got over it. McCain did not. Its a shame, but it reflects the personal vindictiveness that consumes DC. McCain was a brave young warrior who unfortunately died an angry and awful old man.
