Sounds like a future lawsuit.

Who owns what Google has deep-sixed? Google, the producer, or anyone who wants to make “fair use” of it?

I bet the answer is buried deep in some contract that flashes on the screen from Google when you send in the video. You know, the check box which says, “I have read and agree to the terms and conditions of use.”

The producer has inherent copyright. Google merely indexes it.

You can make fair use of a portion of it and cite the source.
