funding will support an increase in inventory of satellite phone, Mobile Wi-Fi Hotspots, and updated satellite bandwidth technologies to meet escalating demand of District Offices during COVID-19,' the 90-page summary of the HEROES Act outlines.

It also says that part of the $5 million will be used to fund the Select Committee on the Coronavirus Crisis, which was formed to provide oversight for economic aid and stimulus allocated to mitigate the fallout from the pandemic.

Here’s a novel idea. Why don’t they pay for it out of their own pocket instead of mine?

Will someone, besides our president stand up and point out this is not meant to be a congressional bailout.

It is for their employers, the US citizens.

I’d be willing to be very few of them can even turn on a typical laptop and connect to wi-fi by themselves.

The higher the position, the less sense and technical knowledge it seems. There are exceptions. Those are getting harder to find.

Just about every middle and upper management type I have to support seems totally clueless beyond using outlook. Some of those need coaching.

I’m a nobody that took classes in computer repair and carry only an active A+ vintage cert. I don’t even come close to knowing it all but am usually good at figuring out technical problems.

You mean a work computer? The Company pays for it.

This is just so they can get their ugly mugs back on TV via Skype just like their hero Joe. They have to do this since there is no one shoving cameras in their faces anymore.

Alternatively, all compensation for members of Congress can be ended until all states reopen.

But,
Who needs the internet when you have Elizabeth Warren.
Office of the Congressional Smoke Signaler.
