Hard to tell. Probably the book sold pretty well, but the numbers on ‘political books’ are pumped up by the publisher. It’s a way to shovel money to a political figure legally since... forever.

Web width costs money, and they don't prop up losers. Big Mike's self-aggrandizing nonsense will last a month, maybe two. The Highwaymen, however, or Arrested Development, have been available for close to a year.
Publishing a book by a politician is a method of laundering a bribe.
He/she/it gets a ghostwritten manuscript. Plenty of starving authors, out there.
One of the big houses makes sure all the words are spelled correctly, and runs off 3 million copies. 10,000 go out to Barnes and Noble, another 5 to Walmart. They wind up getting remaindered or stripped.
The rest are bulk sold to Soros, Google, MicroSoft, at $20 each, who says they are is going to give them to schools, as a charitable gift and a tax right off, and they sit in a warehouse for a year or more to be quietly recycled. After all, who counts? You think college professors actually READ all the books they pose in front of?
Presto. Big Mike is a best selling author, getting $10 to $15 per sold copy, per the NYT, he buys another house in the Cayman Islands.
Ugly is ugly, no matter how you look at it. What’s to like?
