Mexico's president asked the United States for answers and an apology for the Obama-era gun-running operation known as "Fast and Furious." On Friday, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador called for an investigation into Operation Fast and Furious to prevent it from happening again.
"What seems serious to me is that a violation of our sovereignty was carried out, a secret operation, and that Mexicans were killed with these weapons," Lopez Obrador said during a press conference in Mexico City on Friday.
"How could this be? A government that invades in this way, that flagrantly violates sovereignty, international laws," Lopez Obrador continued. "We have to shine light on this so that an action of this type will never be carried out again."
"There is still time for the U.S. to apologize," the Mexican president stated.
He also said that his government would send a diplomatic note to Washington asking for information on the gun-running scheme. Mexico Foreign Affairs Minister Marcelo Ebrard confirmed the communication, and said he was sending a letter to the U.S. regarding Operation Fast and Furious.
Operation Fast and Furious was a strategy created to assist the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives to combat Mexican drug cartels. Between 2009 and 2011, the Phoenix Field Division of the ATF would allow and track the illegal sale of approximately 2,000 firearms worth roughly $1.5 million. The weapons from Operation Fast and Furious would end up being used to kill hundreds of Mexicans and at least one American, U.S. Border Patrol agent Brian Terry in 2010.

Didn’t Obama apologize for that , he apologized for everything else
How about we send them Holder’s head?
He is just upset that some other cartels other than the ones he works for got some of Holder’s guns.
Arrest Obama and Holder and extradite them to Mexico. Then tell them, Oh and clean up your freaking border pancho.
I’m still laughing good one
How about we give you Eric Holder. You can make him apologize during his long prison stretch in your fine penal system.
Demand his Extradition. President Trump will hand him to you on a silver platter.
L
I think that they do need An apology but Obama the narcissist needs to go to Mexico and bow to their president and apologize.
If we had honest media, the Dorkbama administration would have been revealed as the most crooked lying and law breaking clan of felons ever to have crawled out of the toilet and soiled our country.
“...Arrest Obama and Holder and extradite them to Mexico. Then tell them, Oh and clean up your freaking border pancho....”
Actually, that’s actually a pretty good darn idea, but only IF Mexico can guarantee that the death penalty is applied to the case.
Winning.
In this case he deserves an apology from Obama. Could Mexico have him extradited?
Buncha phonies. The mexican govt and the cartels KNEW what was going on.
I agree with Obrador.
Obama has plenty of splaining to do.
If we had an honest media, Obama would not have gotten into the White House except on a tour.
If we had an honest GOP that would uphold the Constitution he wouldn’t have gotten in either.
It took a dishonest Democrat party, a dishonest GOP and a dishonest media for him to usurp the office.
Obama is not a natural born citizen.
His time in the White House was a violation of the Constitution.
Such a move back then could have persuaded the agents to testify against their superiors who ordered the gun running.
But, that did not happen.
And I got flamed big time for suggesting such action.
And Jeffery Epstein did not commit suicide.
This is a great opportunity to break open all the crud on 0bama, using Mexico as the reason.
Expose the evil!
Let Obama apologize, as his last wish, right before he swings.
“Mexico’s president calls for investigation into Obama-era Fast and Furious...”
He’s not the only one. That’s a no statute of limitations capital crime as far as I am concerned. Hillary, Holder and Obama should all do the devil’s dance for that one.
