A research dossier compiled by the so-called “Five Eyes” intelligence alliance, that reportedly concludes China intentionally hid or destroyed evidence of the coronavirus pandemic, is consistent with U.S. findings about the origins of the outbreak so far, senior U.S. officials told Fox News on Saturday.
The 15-page document from the intelligence agencies of the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Australia and New Zealand, was obtained by Australia's Saturday Telegraph newspaper and finds that China's secrecy amounted to an “assault on international transparency."
The dossier, which is likely to further increase pressure on the Chinese government to explain its actions and early statements, points to the initial denial by the government that the virus could be transmitted between humans, the silencing of doctors, destruction of evidence, and a refusal to provide samples to scientists working on a vaccine.
While U.S. intelligence is not confirming the existence of the 15-page document, a senior official told Fox that reports of the document aligns with U.S. intelligence that China knew the spread between humans earlier than it said, that it knew it was a novel coronavirus earlier than it said and that it was spread wider than they reported to the international community in the first weeks of the outbreak.
But there are some exceptions. In particular, Australia believes the virus originated in a wet market, as the Chinese have claimed. However, the U.S. intelligence community has not yet determined this and is still leaning away from that theory.
Fox News first reported last month that there is increasing confidence from U.S. officials that the virus likely escaped from the lab in Wuhan, where the naturally-occurring strain was being studied not as a bioweapon but as part of a Chinese effort to show that its efforts to identify and combat viruses

What bothers me the most is that they are trying to let the CCP off the hook. Just admit to this and let us investigate, and all will be forgiven. But that will not work. China is taking names of people who spoke badly about China. China will wait this one out and then become China again. We need to quarantine the CCP. The CCP is a very bad government bent on world domination. They feed on democracies. This is not just about the virus. The virus exposes the extent to which China has corrupted our institutions, like our press, our universities, our politicians, and of course wall street. Our goal is to expose and decouple. Not to teach China a lesson they wont learn.

Strangely the word "dossier" has become synonymous with "douche!"
The more the merrier....always has been my position.
The world should stop buying stuff from China, also allow those injured by SARS-CoV-2 to sue the government of China. If China doesn’t pay seize their assets and use that to pay off damages. Right now the USA should be freezing Chinese assets in the USA. Every country should be doing the same. China will retaliate of course but so what.

SHEESH! Words like “natural”, “mistake”, excuses such as “not studying it as a bioweapon”, and so on make this appear to me a diversion.
Fact is the disease was birthed in China. Let’s not forget it. Not only was the disease birthed in China, but they covered it up. A sloppy job of covering it up, but they did manage to kill many people in the process. China is responsible, nobody else.
Anything we read that is full of excuses, and buzz words such as “mistake” are simply diversions from the fact that China is responsible. Nothing Bat crazy about it.
“Dossier” has become the in vogue designation when other descriptions such as report, memorandum, document(s), evidence etc. would perhaps be a more accurate representation.
The biggest issue is that China locked down INTERNAL travel protecting chinese cities from the virus. But allowed international travel...which allowed the virus to spread across the world.
The question is why? either they are incompetent, which is very unlikely in this case because they closed down internal travel. Or they purposefully allowed it to spread. So why did they allow it to spread? My best guesses are either they didn’t want to be the only country impacted by the Chicom virus so they infected the entire world. Now we all are in the same crappy situation. Plus this enabled them to buy up supplies needed to protect against the virus before the world bought up all the supplies. Or they used it as a bioweapon from the start. I think the former is the most likely scenario.
I long for the days when we didn’t have to hear about talking points.
afer posting Daily Mail’s report on this leaked document - first published by Murdoch’s Daily Telegraph in Australia 9 hours ago on FR -, I monitored all media, including Sky News Australia, also owned by Murdoch, plus BBC World Service, ABC Australia, and none of them were reporting on the story. protecting China? strange.
