Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn (Ret.) is awaiting his fate. The former national security advisor pled guilty to lying to federal investigators about his contact with Russia's U.S. ambassador Sergey Kislyak in 2017 but has since signaled his intention to withdraw that plea. And this week's new exculpatory evidence revealed that Flynn may have been "framed" by the FBI.
The unsealed documents reveal that FBI agents were less interested in information on Kislyak, and more interested in getting Flynn in trouble. The seemingly damning notes were written by former FBI general counsel James A. Baker.

As he awaits his fate, Flynn knows he has a friend and a comrade in Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY). The congressman served with Flynn at Fort Huachuca and remembered him as a leader who "inspired all in our ranks." Fort Huachuca is a U.S. Army installation just north of Mexico. The two men served together in the early 2000s.

At a recent White House coronavirus task force meeting, President Trump was asked if there's any reason why he wouldn't ask Flynn to rejoin his administration if he's exonerated. Trump said he'd look into it, adding that Flynn was a great patriot who'd been treated terribly.
He added a message for the media on Thursday.

Trump should restore Flynn with back-pay, cover all legal fees, including the upcoming law suits. All those in the chain who did this to Flynn should receive the death sentence- including those in the media who assisted. They assassinated a good man, plain and simple.
I remember Flynn as our commanding general. Competent, full of energy, and with the qualities I expect from all generals. I don’t recall if he was MG or LTG at the time.

I hope Comey and McCabe hang for this.
But I still want answers, which probably won’t be forthcoming for years, to help me understand this situation better. Flynn has been in the deep-state, IC game for years. He should know how evil political hacks at the highest levels can be. He also knows he was innocent. He should figured out pretty quickly it was a set-up and flimsy perjury trap. OK, they were “going after” his son, which was probably BS also. So why plead guilty? What was he thinking? The FBI and DOJ still bankrupted the entire family and dragged his name through the mud for 3 years.
Second question - WHY did he hire Eric Holder’s law firm for his defense? Really?! That boggles the mind.
I served with Mike Flynn and I’d be more than happy to work with him again. He was one of the three or four finest officers I knew.
I’m still wondering about the accusations of him lying to Pence. Mike’s reputation was not that he was a liar, but exactly the opposite, i.e., a guy who always spoke his mind and when he stepped on his crank, you’d hear it from him first. He was all about doing the right thing for the right reason - always and without exception.
