Finding the perfect fringe during these times of confinement may prove to be an expensive gamble after German police went underground to uncover two makeshift hairdressing salons on Saturday.
When the officers arrived at the salons, carefully installed in the cellars of two private houses, “people were having their hair done”, local police said in a statement.
Two people were waiting for a cut in Elsenfeld and another in a cellar in Momlingen, according to DPA, which claims that “the salons were professionally equipped”.
Police have opened investigations for non-compliance with lockdown measures which, in Bavaria, are among the strictest in Germany. …

It’s curious that we have two nearly identical stories of police doing undercover work to shutdown hairdressers in 2 different countries for not obeying the benevolent government lockdown rules.
Almost as if the stories were planted.
I think it`s underground as in down in the cellar, not undercover. I don`t think anybody “planted” anything. Probably the neighbours saw people with freshly cut hair leaving the houses and called the police.

The irony is that Bayern was part of West Germany after the war, not East. Then again, once the past of Konrad Adenauer is looked into and what he did after the war, it would not be so ironic.
BTW, I remember the phrase “mein Kamerad” from the old war comic books, both US and UK; those were still popular when I was a kid.
